Designing a single-family home is one of the most important projects you will undertake in your life.
At CU4 Arquitectura, we have spent more than 15 years supporting families in Valencia and the surrounding area to turn what they imagine into the home they want to live in.
Not all single-family homes are the same, and neither are the people who will live in them. Each family understands “home” differently: some prioritise light and a connection to the outdoors, others privacy from neighbours, and many need the house to adapt over time to new life stages. That is why we listen first and design afterwards. We work with any typology:
Detached home (chalet)
Maximum freedom in terms of design and orientation. With no party walls limiting the layout, we can develop the project from scratch, fully adapting it to your lifestyle and the plot.
Semi-detached home
Two homes that share a party wall. The challenge is to gain privacy and personality within a typology that tends towards uniformity. We solve it through design.
Terraced house
Front and rear façades, limited plot depth. Here, the internal layout and light management are key so the size of the plot is not felt.
Row house
Similar to a terraced house but with greater continuity between units. We work on individualising the space so each home has its own character.
Whether you are starting from a blank plot or you have a house that needs a new lease of life, our team can support you throughout the entire process.
For homes with heritage value or structural issues that require a more substantial technical intervention. We restore the building, respecting what deserves to be preserved.
We design your home from scratch: a complete architectural project, specification of finishes, licence management and construction management. The result is a home designed for you, from the foundations up.
When the house exists but no longer fits how you want to live. We reconfigure the layout, update services, renew finishes and help you choose every detail of the new interior.
We do not start drawing on day one. First, we sit down and listen to you.
01. Before we begin
Good decisions from the start
A meeting to understand your project, your budget and your priorities. We will guide you on timelines, licences and what you can expect from the process. No obligation.
02. Listen
Turning your lifestyle into design decisions
We develop the concept design: massing, layout, orientation and materials. This is where your idea starts to take real shape. We work with you until you are convinced by the result.
03. Design
Define properly to avoid problems on site
All the documentation needed to apply for the building permit and for the contractor to execute exactly what we have designed. No ambiguities or surprises during construction.
04. Choose
Make informed decisions (not blindly)
We support you in selecting finishes, furniture and installations. We know what works, what lasts and what fits the construction budget. You do not have to navigate this alone.
05. Manage
Real control during construction
We supervise the execution so what is built matches what was designed. Technical and cost control at every stage.
Our studio is in the city of Valencia, but we work throughout the wider area:
Valencia city and metropolitan area — Where most of our private-client work is concentrated.
Marina Alta (Jávea, Dénia, Moraira, Calpe) — An area with strong demand for high-quality single-family homes, both as a main residence and as a second home.
Rest of the province — We review each case individually. If the project is a good fit, we will go wherever needed.
None of our houses is the same as another. Your home will be like a tailored suit. We design it exactly to your needs and preferences. That is why it is very important for us to get to know you, your family, your habits and your lifestyle. To do that, before we start working, we will send you some questionnaires. This way we will make sure we understand your needs and can start designing your home in the best possible conditions.
We are in luck: we can certify your home (or a group of homes) with WELLresidencial in its pilot version. If you would like to know a bit more about what the process would be like, or simply want us to advise you on what we apply so your home can be a WELLhome, do not hesitate to contact us!!
It all depends on the type of home. Renovating a small 40 m2 loft is not the same as building a 200 m2 house. If you would like to know a bit more about this, you can read our blog post where we explain these issues.
In any case, if you would like more detailed information about our fees and a personalised quote, you can fill in the contact form and within 24–48 hours we will get in touch with you.
No, you can ask us without any worries.
We can assure you that the quote we provide will be tailored to the work we know you will need throughout the entire process. We have been able to calculate this cost based on years of experience, controlling time and costs. Our fees will be fair and proportional to the size and complexity of the project.
In addition, we will guide you on the overall cost of the build. You will see that our fees are really a very small part of the total—and the best investment to ensure the whole process is a success!
Yes. During the process we will work on your home in plans or in three dimensions, as appropriate, so you can understand at all times what we are talking about and get a precise idea of what your home will be like.
And if what you want are realistic renders of the house, we can offer you this service, which can be contracted as an optional extra so you can see it as if it were already built!!!
No. We can help you find the most suitable construction company for your project. If you already have one you trust, great! You will be the one to choose the construction company that builds your home.
We will be present during the construction phase to supervise that everything is built as planned in the project, so build quality is assured.
We do all kinds of projects, although our speciality is creating homes that are increasingly healthier for people and the environment. We also apply this to other long-stay typologies, such as care homes, educational centres, offices and other workspaces.
Yes! Sustainability is a broad concept, and that is why we have created a network of professionals so we can offer you the type of project you need.
